Objective

Viewing the Port Statistics on the device provides a fast way for a user to look at all of the essential statistical information related to the ports on the device. This document describes how to view the page and also what information can be found there.

  • RV180W

Instructions

Step 1.Using the graphical user interface (GUI) on the Cisco router, choose Status > Port Statistics.

Port Statistics

Here is a list of information that can be found on the Port Statistics Table.

Port Statistics Table

  • Port — Displays the four LAN ports and WAN port names.
  • Status — Displays the status of the port, showing whether it is Enabled or Disabled.
  • Operational Mode — Displays the speed of the port and what Operational Mode it is currently set to.
  • Packets (Rx and Tx), Bytes (Rx and Tx) and Frames (Rx and Tx) — Displays the Rx and Tx statistics for each port for each of the categories listed. Rx represents what is Received (downloaded) and Tx for Transmitted (uploaded).

Poll Interval Options

Auto-Refresh Notification

  • This page has a Poll Interval that refreshes the statistics at a certain rate. By default, it is set to 10 (Seconds) and you can Start and Stop it anytime by clicking their respective buttons.
