Objective

The screen saver is a power saver mode that preserves the life of the phone screen after the phone has been inactive for a certain period of time. The screen saver can be personalized with a background image chosen by the user that can be uploaded through the web interface.

The objective of this document is to explain how to configure the screen saver settings on the SPA500 and SPA300 Series IP Phones.

Configuration of Screen Saver Settings

Step 1. Press the Setup button on the IP Phone and choose Screen Saver Mode.

 

Step 2. Use the navigation buttons to choose Enable Screen Saver and press Edit.

Step 3. Use the Y/N button to enable or disable the screen saver. If you disable the screen saver, skip to Step 11.

 

Step 4. Press Ok.

Step 5. Use the navigation buttons to choose Screen Saver Wait Time and press Edit.

Step 6. Use the DelChar or Clear buttons to clear the screen saver wait time. Use the number keys to input the time, in seconds, before the phone will enable the screen saver.

Step 7. Press Ok.

Step 8. Use the navigation buttons to choose Screen Saver Icon and press Edit.

Step 9. Press Option to scroll through the available screen saver icons. This will be the icon or picture to appear when the phone goes into screen saver mode.

• Background Picture — Displays the preset background image as the screen saver.

• Station Time — Displays the station time in the center of the screen as the screen saver.

• Lock — Displays a moving lock as the screen saver.

• Phone — Displays a moving phone as the screen saver.

• Date Time — Displays the station time and date in the middle of the screen as the screen saver.

Step 10. Press Ok.

Step 11. Press Save to save the settings, or press Cancel to discard the settings.
